Current R&D projects encompass

•  Fermentation
Our R&D team has successfully established the technology to manufacture functional peptides which provide better results in feed efficiency, growth, and health by fermentation technology. Currently, we are pursuing greater understanding of the bacterial system and biological platform in order to create many more advantages to the feed industry.

•  Probiotics and Prebiotics
Based on the commitment to supply environmentally friendly products, our R&D team is involved in selecting probiotics and prebiotics (natural ingredients) which can improve water quality in aquaculture ponds. Meanwhile, we are continually developing the probiotics and prebiotics which beneficially affect the host animal by improving its intestinal microbial balance.

•  Vaccine
Enhancing immune systems and improving animals' health are constant concerns for aquaculture farmers; therefore, developing efficient vaccines is one of our missions to prevent diseases. By applying novel biotechnology, we can identify the disease agent, isolate the genes from the genome of the infectious agent, and create vaccines to protect animals against pathogens.

•  Test Kits
In order to control the establishment and spread of the most economically important pathogens, we are devoted to developing highly sensitive and specific test kits. With the advanced PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) technology, we can provide standardized materials and reagents which are quality analyzed and quality controlled.

•  Waste Recycling
In order to protect our ecosystem, YeCherng focuses on minimizing environmental impact from feed manufacture to waste recycling. We collect the waste, such as fish scale and fish skin produced from procession, and extract the active compounds which can be reused in cosmetic industry.

Strategic Alliances
YeCherng pursues research innovation not only in-house but also in partnership with others. We have a long standing collaboration with National Taiwan Ocean University , the Fisheries Research Institute and other biotechnology companies, enabling us to establish new technologies that will significantly enhance our ability to deliver innovative products.
